I’m not sure by ‘feng shui’ that you mean karma but yeah, I’m avoiding a lot more dairy these days.

Incidentally, the exact same thing happened in New York City in the late 19th century. (see link) The stuff that’s coming out of China’s factories and how it has affected people’s health and livelihood is a tragedy and a travesty. But the truth, it’s been no different for any country that made the jump to a modern, industrialized economy. The tightening up of QC and QA is part of this process.

This milk incident needed to happen because while previously it was mostly foreigners who grumbled China’s goods whether it be lead in paint or poisonous cat food, now for the first time, normal everyday Chinese citizens are outraged at this ‘breach in trust’.There are a lot of things the government is completely two-faced about but this is one issue I’m pretty sure they will do everything they can to fix. Why? They’re the ones who promoted milk drinking to begin, gave the Sanlu company their Grade A seal of approval that exempted them from inspections, and finally, the people know things are messed up in their country and can tolerate a lot of stuff but it comes to their kids…don’t mess with the kids.

It’s really sad all these kids have gotten sick. Hopefully there won’t be any more fatalities save for the milk companies that let this go on unchecked.

I live and work in China. I don't buy most processed packaged food now. I read that Cadbury candy made in China is affected too! The money madness has produced this dilemma. The quote "Being Rich is Glorious" has created some really sick monsters. Sure my home country, USA, has the same problem. That trans fat is a plastic oil that stays in the body and it can't be burned away by exercise.
I stick to fresh fruits, nuts and cook at home.

I am currently trying to reduce the amount of chineese products that I am buying however Im finding it very hard. All of my food products come from the US however Christmas is coming and I am having a hard time finding presents that aren’t made in china.

NEVER!!!… I have kids and I want them safe… I am involved in construction and designs and we do not accept construction materials from china because of the qualities… Then we found out toxic painted toys from china… Now its CONTAMINATED MILK that killed some poor babies!!! somebody should be punished by death…

I mean, we’ve always known that China products are the ‘poorer quality’ stuff, but this is getting out of hand. It’s especially bad considering how the victims of these products are mainly infants (with the most vunerable immune system). The toys, and now the milk. Good job gov for trying to cover it up. gits.

The Fengshui farted in their face and ran away. ..Or they farted in Fenshui’s face. Either way, at the rate they’re going at, they’d be off with the circus before you can say ‘target babies’.
