What are some evidences that feng shui is pure superstition?

my parents are about to move to a different house and spend a lot of money just because they believe their house is bad luck because of feng shui. How can I convince them that its all superstition? I am looking for links to websites or good documentaries that aren't condescending..

fengshui is not supersition.

it is about a group of methods, each is a system that is used to analyze spaces and structures. the main goal of fengshui is to improve life - make it easier and convenient.

fengshui is not a belief, not a religion and definitely not a philosophy.

most people think that it is all in your head or superstition, because of very few people write about the real stuff - or the fengshui methods. the few authors that do write about som fengshui methods do not write about the advance uses of those methods.

some of these authors:
- eva wong wrote about flying stars, which i think is simple yet powerful
- lillian too wrote about 8 mansions or what she terms as east- west method
- joey yap wrote about many fengshui topics

most websites will sell you something, and to me they are not good sources of fengshui info.

the best i got was from a series of fengshui seminars i took held by some fengshui masters. i think that opened my eyes to the world of fengshui.

fengshui works whether you believe it or not. for example, a fengshui practitioner made some changes in your house. it is not important that you are aware of such changes. so most of the time, practitioners dont let you know what are the changes for. they just tell you that it is important "to harmonize your space or balance the elements" - this dont make any sense - it is just a counter thing for you to stop asking questions.
