Whether you buy into feng shui's philosophies or not, many of its principles simply make good design sense. Here are a couple of websites that can get you started:

Like all trends with a Oriental name, it is a load of crap.

Just silly white people preying upon the collective White Man's Guilt.

Western = Bad

Eastern = Good.

Thanks 1960s, you Baby Boomer perpetual adolescent stoners.

first, there is no free website or a book that has all of the fengshui concepts/ techniques.

next, fengshui is effective only if you do it right. fengshui is not what most people think it is. it is not a decorating style or a certain arrangement of furnitures. it is much more than that. if a house has good fengshui, the effect can be felt at least 3-4 weeks after the good fengshui has been established.

i guess to most people who do not know anything about the fengshui concepts or those who based their fengshui knowledge on books, websites, tv, etc. always say that fengshui is rubbish, esp western thinking people. as most western people like a guideline, a quick fix and anything fast. fengshui is not easy, it is not fast, but when you do it right, it can go deep and effective. and everything in your life will seem to fall into their rightful places - making your life easy.

it is difficult to explain, but you really can't apply fengshui just to a room/ your bedroom. because even if your room has a good fengshui, it will be negated by the fengshui of the whole house. and the best way to apply fengshui to your house is get someone who knows fengshui.
