I was checking feng shui & vastu..as I m planning to buy my first house..?

1. According to vastu entrance should not face south. It should face east or north.

2. Accortding to feng shui its different for every person..so south is good for me and my children but is very unlucky for my husband…it can lead to serious problem and ill health of family members…he should buy a house facing east which is unlucky for rest of us…

What should I do?…once u read all this u just mess up your mind…
If I use my door then it will affect husband's health and vice versa…

Personally I would buy the home that my family likes the best, which is what we did when we bought our home a little over a year ago. Our front door faces actually NE sorta, our home does NOT side exactly N_S_E_W it is on an angle to the compass, maybe that is what you need to do. I don't know anything about feng shui or vastu and wouldn't begin to want to try,but if a place feels like home when you walk in,then that is home,at least to me. Good luck :)

Buy a house that has or can be outfitted with an east and a south entrance. He uses his entrance and you and the children use yours. My vastu is both east and west on my 4 year old home. We use both and both have great health and growing income.

fengshui is based on many formulas. i am sure that you are basing your answer on the 8 mansions, which ms. lillian too made popular. but this is not the only concept/ formula. there are a lot more to consider. and most of them are not clear cut - meaning, it is case to case basis.

for example, it is bad to face east for your kids - yes according to 8 mansions. but there is a certain direction in the east that makes your house to have a double 8, which is very auspicious. this is based on flying stars. so, you see… in fengshui, it is better to consult a fengshui professional who will assess you, your family and hour new house. besides that, you can even ask for some extra fengshui solution to attract money in the house - like a water dragon.

and that is just the half of it. the location of your house is also important, in relation to the road, river, etc. formations around the house is also as important as what is in it. it affects the behavior of everyone inside the house.

fengshui is about precise measurement, calculation and proper installment of the solutions. it is not if your door should face east, you just tilt your door to face it. it is more complicated than that. you need to use a compass or a luo pan and do the measuring, and tilt it precisely at a particular degree.

contrary to what most people have read, fengshui is not putting a mirror here, a windchime there and everything will be alright. i guess all writers wants people to buy their books, while all people like a quick fix. that is why most writers do only about the quick fixes.

I think that if you're not hiring a professional Feng Shui consultant - keep it simple! Stick to only one school of Feng Shui ( I like the using the simple Bagua) and it should be easy to follow the principles and get the results you want. Door facing west, painted red - you can't go wrong! Excellent book is Feng Shui your Life by Jayme Barrett - review of it here:
