Do you think that customer comments effect how your boss views you as an employee?

I work at our local Wal-Mart, and I work as a sales floor associate in apparel so it is my job to provide good customer service. Our manager is very concerned when it comes to our customers, but he also understands when they just want to pick a fight with us and want to complain that we are not doing our jobs correctly.

it probably has about 40% of theyre attention. i think they rely on theyre opinions of you but the customers does count for a lot as well

I think it does to a certain point. I think too many negative comments could get you fired or some other kind of disciplinary action, and a lot of positive ones could get you a raise or award.

Your job is customer satisfaction, customer comments
reflect how successful you are . They definitely will
effect your boss' evaluation.

I've only have one customer complaint about me, but that was only because this guy was being obnoxious and being and idiot. He complained because I didn't say much and I didn't say thank you as he left. Which I did say thank you, he just wanted something to complain about! People amaze me sometimes.
